Agromonte’s Sicilian Tomato Sauce Packaging and Identity

Agromonte: an exclusive brand for a traditional Italian product.
Agromonte is a modern Sicilian Company that has made one of the oldest traditions, the preparation of tomato sauce, into a product of excellence. And, when the activity was started, the sauce was the first to be packaged in the typical bottles of beer, following the tradition of Sicilian women.
Agromonte is located in the South of Eastern tip of Sicily, in one of the highest municipalities respect the sea level, called Chiaramonte Gulfi – Ragusa.
And right here Agromonte is born, an activity that since 1970 involves the whole family: from the cultivation of tomatoes to the marketing of various lines worldwide.
Break Design has created the brand identity of Agromonte, transforming the image from an industrial brand to a brand capable of evoking territoriality in an exclusive way through the use of lace, a symbol of Sicilian craftsmanship. A Brand that is strengthened by the inscription “Sicilia” for the foreign market, especially in the United States.
A sophisticated packaging that uses, especially in the main products, transparent labels to support the visibility of product quality and corporate transparency. Since the beginning it was a revolutionary proposal for the category, as all the other competitors presented themselves with paper labels.
A logo that speaks Sicilian avoiding the classic stereotypes.
After designing all product lines – Ready Pasta Sauces – Passate – Pesti – Bruschette – Specialties – Organic – Break Design’s latest project was the creation of the Tin Range, dedicated to the Professional market.
The goal was to conceive products for exclusive professional use, magnifying the identity and exclusivity of the Brand.
A range that preserves the distinctive and institutional features of the Brand and accentuates the product’s origin through the use of original illustrations of typical Sicilian “pupi”.
Sixteen products, elegant and chromatically vibrant, to be proudly displayed. The pride of the land of Sicily.
