Presia Ag Insights —McCain Foods Earth Observation Subsidiary
Navigating the science of agriculture.
With an engagement that underscores the strengths and expertise of this boutique branding agency, Strano and Pettigrew Design Associates (S+PDA), a Toronto-based branding and design agency, has led the branding initiative for Presia Ag Insights—the innovative, agriculture technology subsidiary of McCain Foods. This collaboration showcases S+PDA’s commitment to building authentic, strategically driven brands for companies who have made a genuine commitment to sustainability.
McCain Foods is a global leader in agricultural innovation. Following McCain’s acquisition of the predictive crop portfolio from Resson in 2022, Strano + Pettigrew were tasked with developing the brand strategy, naming, design system, and website for McCain’s inaugural venture into geospatial technology.
After collaborating with the McCain Earth Observation team, S+PDA formulated a comprehensive brand strategy that will guide all of Presia’s future growth initiatives.
The creative strategy was focused around creating a balance between agriculture and technology while maintaining a sense of approachability. The name was derived from a combination of Scandinavian words that mean accuracy and prophecy—quite literally translating to “Accurate Prediction.” This was complemented by a symbol representing both growth and geospatial (satellite) observation. The colour palette was derived from earth elements that contribute to agriculture.
