Cortilia: Handcrafted Meals from Italy’s Heartland Delivered Fresh to Your Doorstep
Cortilia, a pioneering online agricultural marketplace, has always stood for bridging the gap between the rustic Italian countryside and the modern consumer’s dining table. A champion of the short supply chain, this unique brand ensures that consumers relish the best of Italy – fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and now, a new entrant: ready-to-eat meals. Responding adeptly to shifting consumer behaviors and market dynamics, Cortilia’s new packaging for its Ready Meals is not just a wrapper but a story – a narrative of the brand’s commitment to sustainability, local empowerment, and undying love for authentic Italian craftsmanship. My collaboration with Cortilia was not just a design assignment but a journey. A journey into the heart of Italy, meeting its pastoral beauty, and translating that ethos into a packaging that stands apart. The packaging is a canvas where two quintessential Italian figures come alive: the hardworking local farmer and the warm-hearted, cooking Italian grandma. Their hands reach out, cradling the luscious meal image at the center, reinforcing the brand’s “Made with Hand” ethos. This isn’t just food; it’s a labor of love, tradition, and craft. It’s more than just a visual treat. The functional elements of the design, like nutritional facts and key icons, seamlessly integrate into the imagery. They blossom as branches of a tree, symbolizing both the vast Cortilian supply chain and the very essence of nature itself. The curtain motif at the label’s pinnacle? A nostalgic nod to the quintessential Italian tablecloth, evoking memories of hearty meals shared with loved ones under the Italian sun. In essence, Cortilia’s new packaging is a poetic marriage of tradition and innovation. It’s an invitation to experience Italy, bite by bite, from the heart of the countryside to the comfort of your home.
