Adapa Bio Brand Identity by Azteca Studio

Adapa Bio is an organic brand of rice-based vegetable drinks whose purpose is to share sustainable, human and historical values based on ancestry. The name Adapa refers to the first sage of the Sumerian civilization, the oldest in Mesopotamia. According to Sumerian mythology, the first sages were called Apkallus and were sent by the god Enki to establish culture and give humanity civility. Adapa was the first priest to refuse immortality in order to live among men and bring them his wisdom and prosperity.

Our challenge was to develop a strategy aligned with the brand’s positioning, to redesign its visual expression. We redesigned the logo and realigned the colors to reinforce the cultural pillars, based on a more organic and artisanal language. That’s why the symbolism of the hand, illustrated with a unique stroke, remained as a reference to this worldview and artisanal style. As a graphic expression, we used graphics inspired by cuneiform writing and the manual strokes present in large basalt and sandstone sculptures, which mix representations of the real and the imaginary.

“Handmade” was the concept that drove the narrative of the new Adapa Bio brand. It is through “handmade” that the brand drives its identity and creativity. It is its way of making and creating natural products, manufactured under the care and attention of a humanized, experienced management that is passionate about agroecology and organic production. A concept for a new form of consumption and production. A brand that produces and encourages conscious eating habits, without giving up what innovation can bring in terms of excellence, safety and sustainable balance.
