“State of Sleep” is a personal and authentic animation that grants you insight into my nightly mind practice with insomnia, a pervasive issue in our fast-paced modern society. Through this heartfelt piece, I candidly share my own experience and the strategies I employ to cope with this sleepless ordeal.
The animation opens a window into my restless mind, as I envision a cluttered room teeming with a chaotic mix of thoughts and emotions, both comforting and distressing. It’s a portrayal of the chaotic mental landscape I navigate as I lay awake at night.
My journey within myself unfolds as I methodically collect fragments of joy and serenity, delicately preserving them in a secure box. Once precious memories and positive emotions are safely preserved, only unwelcome memories and emotions remains. I capture them and visualize their incineration as a symbolic cleansing ritual, a representation of the cleansing process necessary to find reprieve from the incessant mental chatter.
From the ashes of this internal pyre emerge fragments, akin to dust and debris, which I gather into a pocket. I ascent through various chambers that lies in my mind, constatnly shifting, showing a glimpse of my ever changing dynamic inner state. Once I reach the peak of my mind, I release these remnants into the wind, witnessing their dispersal as a liberating act.
As I calmly tidy up my inner space, I picture myself painting my mental room all in white. The strokes of calmness gradually take over, and you witness the serene transformation of a cluttered mind into a peaceful sanctuary.
“In “State of Sleep,” I open up about my own challenges and how I deal with them, all centered around a topic many can relate to. This animation welcomes you to join me on this journey, providing an authentic glimpse into my inner world while sharing a potential approach to mental self-care.”
