The “Ping-Pong On The Beach” festival aims to bring together both amateur and expert players. Through two key, seamlessly matched signs – the racket as the primary characteristic and the sea as the setting – the festival’s identity immediately immerses viewers in the theme of the event.
The colors, meanwhile, simultaneously represent two ideas: the red component shows both the crimson sunset and the front side of the racket’s rubber. The racket’s base and sun glitter on the water are depicted in the blue portion. The tennis ball moves, just like the sun does as it sets beyond the horizon. The festival’s identity also takes all of this into account.
The underlying metaphor is so immediately understood by the audience.
This project has helped me to broaden my horizons as a creator. I have considerably improved my design abilities as a result of this assignment. It was completed in order to fulfill the requirements for my art directing master’s degree at HSE Art and Design School, where I had the privilege of receiving guidance and assistance from passionate industry professionals.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the HSE Art and Design School at the Russian Higher School of Economics for providing me with the opportunity to develop and explore my design skills and thinking. In addition, I must express my gratitude to Tanya Dunaeva, my tutor, whose proficiency and guidance were crucial for this assignment. Her assistance enabled me to challenge myself, express my creativity, and bring this idea to life.
