International strategic design agency JDO has collaborated with Pernod Ricard to design The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails, a new line of premium, ready-to-serve, whisky-based cocktails. JDO’s design brings this exciting innovation to life, capturing the essence of this new proposition in a way that is intuitive, visually striking and unmistakably The Glenlivet.
The launch of The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails is just the latest example of how the #1 single malt scotch whisky brand is breaking traditions and setting new standards for the category. This this first-of-its-kind offering aims to elevate at-home entertaining with friends and family by providing a premium, crafted experience without the hassle of leftover ingredients, complex recipes and bar equipment.
“Our main challenge in designing an identity for this new range was to uphold and strengthen The Glenlivet’s prestigious reputation while introducing a completely new and modern way to experience single malt scotch whisky,” comments Malcolm Phipps, Creative Director at JDO. “”The final result is a stylish, inviting design that challenges assumptions about ready-to-serve cocktails, creating belief in a premium cocktailing experience to enjoy at home.”
A golden silhouette of a sleek bottle in which a burst of vibrant color is released evocatively illustrates how the innovative technology works, as the popular cocktails are ready-to-serve with three simple steps: twist the cap, watch it mix, and pour over ice to share and enjoy. This motif emphasizes the high-quality and simplicity of enjoying these freshly-mixed cocktails, while also arousing the appetite with its sensory appeal. Alongside the bottle are perfect serves of Old Fashioned and New Manhattan cocktails, beautifully photographed in-house by JDO. On the bottle itself, The Glenlivet’s equities have been thoughtfully reimagined to convey the excitement of this first-of-its-kind offering while maintaining the brand’s integrity.
