Nyssos is a company that operates in Corfu and has a long tradition in the field of olive oil, targeting mainly at the tourist market in the recent decades. Aiming to expand its product range, Nyssos has created a new line of products consisting of olive oil of high quality and taste, enriched with a variety of flavors.
Our challenge was to create packages that would captivate the attention of tourists and would invite visitors to taste and share a series of six different flavored olive oils, imbued with aromatic plants, spices and citrus.
The idea behind our packaging was based on evocative imagery depicting how the oil is intermixed with the secondary ingredients contained, such as: garlic, basil, lemon, orange, truffle and chili.
With the images of the ingredients immersed in pure olive oil and taking advantage of the brightness of the metal packaging, we visualized the purity and rich flavor of the olive oil.
The choice to place the aromatic olive oil of the Nyssos series in a metal package was one of the requirements for the proper preservation of the quality of the olive oil.
But it was this parameter that gave the opportunity to conceive the idea to be printed with a printing technique giving the illusion that the ingredients in each package: garlic, basil, lemon, orange, truffle, chili, are moving in the olive oil.
The printing was done in metal packaging both to ensure the quality of the product and easy transportation, but in a fashion that maintains the impression of transparent packaging, helping us accentuate the clarity of the product.
Finally, taking advantage of the metallic qualities of the container, we achieved to print and render the density and color of the olive oil with unique clarity and transparency, creating an attractive golden-yellow impression that conveys the qualities of our product.
