DRD Brand Identity by Nguyễn Phạm Trường An

New brand identity system for DRD center, a collective effort towards a better life for people with disabilities:

On December 3rd, 2005, the Disability Research and Capacity Development Center (DRD) was established. Since its inception, DRD has been striving to contribute to building a better society for everyone, including people with disabilities. Over the past 17 years, with the support and partnership of sponsors and partners, DRD has achieved positive results in improving the capacity and social integration of people with disabilities.

Now at 17 years old, with new visions, messages, and activities, DRD has decided to change its brand identity. After several discussions and considerations, DRD officially launched its new brand identity system in December 2022.

A logo that truly suits DRD:

The new logo embodies the spirit of the center, featuring a smiling face full of energy that represents the optimistic and cheerful spirit of people with disabilities, reminding everyone that “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.” The logo also includes a pair of eyes with a message that when looking at people with disabilities, we should focus on their abilities and values rather than just their difficulties.

Two versions of the logo have been created to accommodate the diverse needs of the center. The formal logo is used for official and professional occasions, while the special logo is used to express a friendly, youthful, and energetic vibe.

A flexible Identity systems:

Vibrant and multicolored color scheme, serif and san serif typography is used to show respect for human diversity & flexibility for different design cases.
