I created this project in 2020 and decided to refresh it in 2022. It is about love for the culture and traditions of one of the Ukrainian regions and Ukraine as a whole.
Hutsulshchyna is an ethnocultural region located in Western Ukraine. Hutsulshchyna region is famous for its unique culture, rich history, language, and folk art. My idea was to create a project that would absorb the traditions and motives of the entire culture of this region. To demonstrate that folk creativity is always relevant and valuable. I researched paintings, wood, embroidery, ceramics, and the dialect of this region. With this project, I want to encourage people to discover the traditions of their people more deeply.
The visual identity was built on two key components. The first component is 3D graphics, and the second is unique typography with Ukrainian motives. In such a way, I formed a whole identity, which includes a logo, brand elements, clothes, and other elements. The main goal of this design is to present that folk art can also be modern and minimalistic.
