Congrappa pays homage to the authentic Italian cuisine of southern Italy. Using only the finest, locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant prides itself on creating simple dishes that hold to its roots.
The concept restaurant is meant to show how we can intermingle concepts of art, design and simplicity in both the design of the brand and the ingredients that goes into the meals we share with our loved ones.
Designing the brand identity for the hospitality establishment focused on bringing out its simplicity and the authentic values of what the restaurant stands for. By combining illustrations with an unmistakable modern typeface, we could create something that felt distinctive to the brand and its details. The bespoke typeface was created by the studio to add a sense of uniqueness to the brand identity and direction. The typeface is available as a single-weight display face and is perfect for signage, large amounts of text, menu displays and other types of large printed ephemera used throughout the restaurant and its related establishments. Pairing beautifully with a serif type for smaller body copy and more descriptive texts alongside. Creating an interesting balance between darker and lighter weights.
