Brand and packaging design for Matcha Ochaya in Peru

“We were asked to design a brand for a matcha company called Ochaya from Lima, Peru. The logo had to represent the freshness, sophistication, and history of a product that originally comes from Japan. Our inspiration comes from the Japanese culture of tea, and we based the project on the elements from the traditional teahouses and the ceremony of matcha tea.For the design of the packaging, we had to think of a graphic system that could work for all of the varieties of products. We wanted to keep some of the simplicity of the Japanese graphic design, illustration, and typography.”
