Joint Soda is a Mexican soft drink brand, founded by Miguel Herrera in the summer of 2019, the company offers a single flavor which is not specified on the packaging or in any other way. This to maintain a sense of mystery around your image.
For this reason, its packaging seeks to continue with that idea, implementing a very minimalist design and with only two colors in its palette. The black and the white.
We started the design in 2021 and it was completed at the end of this year, first we started with the choice of colors, since initially we did not have the option of going black and white. After several contemplated styles and the final choice of black and white, we implemented the idea of advertising with negative colors, thus achieving a particular aesthetic in black designs converted to white. Shadows become lights and lights become shadows.
The client decided to use an animal in the packaging, so we also developed the illustration of a peacock, the truth is that there is no specific reason for this choice and this is because the client did not ask for it to have a meaning, only asked to look good.
