Afterdot is a financial handbook App from Vietnam and belongs to CNV Holdings Company. Afterdot begins to penetrate the Vietnamese market in 2021. Afterdot “launches” the witty dolphin image, along with an extremely “eye-catching” brand identity. This financial market has many competitors and countless brand stories, Afterdot wants to create a mascot representing the brand that is impressive in the minds of customers with the astronaut dolphin mascot (Dotolog).

Visual Identity: Based on Afterdot strategy of taking dolphin as the main theme for Dotolog with a friendly, close & modern perspective combined with the “astronaut” costume, meaning to protect Dotolog when traveling into space as well as placing fish in space. piggyback on risky cases (financial markets & risk products).

Concept:  When the covid-19 epidemic broke out in early 2020. Our team was isolated at home, the idea of ​​​​creating an animation was born. And so on from concept to sketch, then from prototyping to 3D design for Dotolog. In the process of gradually realizing the idea, the Dotolog image becomes clearer and clearer. We had online meetings with the Afterdot team and finalized the final plans for the Dotolog mascot.

Clothes and Accesories: Costumes and accessories need to be minimised and omit the complicated details of traditional astronaut suits to enhance a friendly look and not make Dotolog light, not constrained by the costume.

Results: To create its own mark for the Vietnamese market with the image of the “dolphin”. Humorous images, emotions as well as brand identity with the desire to win the hearts of the target customer group that Afterdot targets. Afterdot approach makes a difference in the market with many other “strong” competitors.
