Mandala is a fusion cuisine restaurant installed in Strasbourg since 2016. It is specialised in the mixture between Alsatian and Asian cuisine. It is located in the city centre of the Alsatian capital in an original place that includes several atmospheres (restaurant, bar, show stage, meeting room). This year, the restaurant decided to renew itself with the arrival of a new management and thus wished to create a new image while keeping the old name to keep a certain continuity. The logotype has been totally revised to give it a more current image but also more sober and more elegant, the goal being to make customers understand that a new page of the restaurant is being written.
First of all, an original typography was created for the name of the restaurant. A modern, elegant typography with serifs that contains breaks in certain places to give it a dynamic look. Then, a main pictogram that decorates the top of the logo was composed of several circles that intersect to form a coat of arms where we can see a bowl with Asian noodles (dish often served in this restaurant).
It completes the visual identity on the main logo, but can also be used as a central element for some variations (business cards, menus).

A cherry blossom was also created to frame the base line of the logo. Finally, a pattern was composed especially to decorate the walls of some rooms of the restaurant, it is composed of plant elements treated in a geometric way.All these elements are treated with a contemporary colour scheme that goes from dark green for the backgrounds to a light beige for the typography and the pictogram and a pink that brings an additional touch of modernity.
