The team at the Barrelhouse Group approached us to help with them bring their dream to life. A hybrid venue featuring a distillery, bar and dining room; The Hickson House Distillery, in the heart of The Rocks, Sydney. We built their brand from the ground up, from identity to packaging and beyond.
A classic 1920s aesthetic is met with a twist of rustic Australia to transport visitors to the era that Hickson House’s building was raised, while maintaining a link to the origins of our ingredients. With colour palettes derived from the rich Australian landscape, the style and execution are intentionally timeless classic.
Hickson House Distilling Co. is situated at 6 Hickson Road, The Rocks, in the heritage-listed Metcalfe Bond Stores, which was built between 1912-1916.
Hickson House dispenses distilling experiences, curated cocktails and matching menus with spirits distilled on site. The distillery’s stills and barrels sit alongside an impressive bar and dining space, overlooked by the more intimate mezzanine cocktail lounge, the High & Dry Bar. They are united by a love of spirits, a passion for purity, a thirst for creativity and a gratitude for the unique Australian land and their Sydney home.
