Viet Garden is an oriental restaurant, known for its exquisite Vietnamese cuisine. The culture & traditions in Vietnam involves a lot of nature, its patterns, and traditional decorations, especially the lotus flower which is well known in the whole of southeast Asia. So as you can see what I have implemented of the result for the packaging of Viet Garden is to go after one of the main aspects of their Vietnamese tradition.

The brief is to design a new concept for Viet Garden Packaging produced by large retail outlets, known as ‘Oriental Meal pack for 2’. The pack itself must be functional, using shape and form effectively to contain the security of the contents, without any leakage or contaminating. The brief was asked to consider how the packaging could provide not only an efficient method of containment for the food but also how the pack, its shape, and decoration could reflect the cultural experience of oriental takeaways.

Consider incorporating additional elements to the packs construction such as carry handle, or a way of serving the food. Think about adding eating utensils within the design for consumer convenience. Also how the pack would be displayed within the retail outlet, environmental in-store, handle in restaurant & takeaways, and how convenient it is for the customer to handle at the purchase stage, access the contents at home, serve easily and cleanly and then dispose of the empty pack.

The solution must reflect the cultural qualities of the food and the country of origin. This should be reflected in both the shaping of the pack and the presentation of the graphics and branding.
