Gilda is the new vermouth from Bodega Latarce. She is named for the movie starring Rita Hayworth. The design is inspired by the famous dance of the protagonist in the film, which was banned in many countries for being scandalous. For this we chose a stylized bottle and we silkscreened the silhouette along with lines that have a “moiré” effect and give dynamism to the whole because when the bottle is moved it seems that the figure is moving. Vermouth has its version in white that is the same design but with black screen printing. To crown the bottle, a vinolok cap that together with the lettering make this bottle an original and elegant set.
In the first meeting with the customer, she wanted a very elegant design for her new drink. She also wanted the packaging to be able to have a dual use once the liquid runs out, thus remaining in the consumer’s home and being able to be refilled with water or similar.
The first problem we had was to screen print the bottle, since it is a bit conical and made the process very difficult. In the end, we were able to screen printing, leaving a space on the back where the legal data of the drink would go. Having 2 products within the range that was white vermouth and red vermouth, we decided that the design would be the same and what would change would be the liquid, that its own color was already very different. In this way we manage to lower the cost of production of the bottles since we would only have to make one plate for the 2 models. These vermouths go inside a canister that here if they differ by color, white would be for white vermouth and black for red vermouth. In this way we achieve packagings that attract a lot of attention with a touch of elegance that make them visually very attractive.
