Future reading is very common in my home country Georgia. the most common tool for this process is the tarot deck, which is a combination of 78 very beautifully illustrated cards with different meanings.

This fact inspired me to test my Art Direction skills, and create my own Tarot deck with adorable monster illustrations. I wanted to show no matter what, the future is always bright and people should not be afraid of it. Whatever is meant to be will happen anyways, so we might as well be grateful and happy, enjoying our lives.

Since there is a large number of Tarot decks in the world, the biggest challenge for me was to create something one of a kind & stand out among all the others.

In this tarot deck, there are all the twenty-two major arcanas, which have different meanings. the first card is “The Fool” where we start the journey and going through all the arcanas we end up with the card “The World”. in between, we have all the other cards which are all about the progression of a person in a lifetime.

this project was very interesting for me and it took an overall three months to finish all the arcanas. after that, I used different mediums to put my illustrations on to make it more interesting. Such as different types of packaging, cans, matchbox, and even plates.

Overall I think it came out very beautiful and unique, which was the main goal for me at the beginning of this journey.

The name of the project is “The Adorable Tarot” because I wanted it to be very sweet no matter which card would a person get during the future reading. all cards are happy cards so people can’t be scared of what is about to come in the future.
