Maccerato A wine homage to Domingo Fontán – Rebranding by Roberto Núñez Studio
Maccerato is a wine that needed to redefine its image and foster the idea of work, history and exploration.
The solution, a packaging that pays homage to mathematician and geographer Domingo Fontán. An illustrious historical figure from the area where the winery is located, who over 20 years mapped and travelled Galicia (Spain) with his inseparable colleague, to create in 1834 the first geometrical map of his region.
The proposal turns a milestone in local history into contemporary news and a source of inspiration to locals and others.
Translation of the texts on the packaging: Cartographers of emotions.
History tells of great feats, incredible achievements like that of our illustrious ancestor, mathematician and geographer Domingo Fontán. A never-ending source of inspiration to whom we pay homage, together with his inseparable colleague. His vocation is now ours, his hard work a mirror in which to see ourselves. This is just what led us to realise that out of emotional cartography we could make an unashamedly intense, aromatic and personal wine.
Materials: 680g bourgogne bottle, wraparound label in natural felt-textured extra white paper, complex capsule (aluminium and polyethylene), natural cork.
