Project: For Luis Armijos, his philosophy is based on passion, knowledge and respect for the coffee growers that strive to produce the best harvests and contribute to the growth of the coffee culture in the Ecuadorian territory. From his laboratory located in the city of Quito, Luis begins the commercialisation of coffee with a meticulous control of the processes of cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the bean in order to obtain a high quality coffee. In order to achieve his objective, Luis entrusted Firstrein with the design and identity of his products.

Result: Artizen was born to become a reference brand for good Ecuadorian artisan coffee. For the graphic brand design we defined aspects of low complexity, easy reading and reproduction of the logo in different environments. With the packaging we looked for a balance of nature, of essence that allows us to identify the product. Hence the use of white color, soft textures and the illustration of a coffee plant that together clearly show the attributes and technical information of each type of coffee. We developed the plan of a box adapted to the type of plastic bag used as primary packaging for the different sizes of presentation of the product. This way we avoided the use of an adhesive label, improving the appearance of the coffee and being different from other coffees sold locally.

Thus defining a fresh, solid and simple image, optimal for hangers and shelves in the places where the product is sold. To finalise the project we created the company’s web site composed of an online store where the consumer can learn more about artizen and buy the coffee.
