Packaging design for the new oil of our friend Conrado Gajate. 1001 square kilometers is the geographical area of ​​the Arribes del Duero Natural Park where the olive trees with which this organic oil is made are located. Very close to these olive groves are the ruins of a Roman settlement where many objects from this period were found. One of the objects found in this ancient Roman villa was a belt buckle that inspired us for this design. We paint the bottle matte black and all over it we screen print the graphic that we design based on the jewelery of this buckle, achieving a very elegant design in this 700 ml bottle.
From the first meeting we had with this client, he asked us for a very elegant packaging that would make us buy the oil by its container. In the briefing, he also highlighted the importance of using the minimum possible elements in order to be more sustainable.
After investigating the area where the olive groves are located, we came across the ruins of an ancient Roman villa where many objects had been found. One of them was the one that inspired us to design. A belt buckle that had goldsmith elements engraved on it, which we remade in a more graphic way. After choosing a very elegant bottle, we painted it black so that the oil would better maintain its properties and thus highlight the graphic much more. This graphic is screen printed in white which makes a very elegant design. We draw technically based on the goldsmith that the buckle has found and is silk-screened around the entire bottle. On the back are all the legal texts, as well as logos and barcodes. The result of all the packaging is clearly what they asked us in the briefing, a bottle of olive oil that will attract attention for its elegance and finesse and that can positively influence the choice of this product compared to the competition.
