When Victoria and James were young they used to visit their families Estancia (Ranch) in Argentina. It’s often said ‘the kitchen is the heart of the home’ and that statement couldn’t be truer at Estancia “La Luisa” where family favourite recipes would adorn the dinner table night after night. Cocina La Lusia is a brand about family, memories and tradition. It is a homage to those carefree days in Buenos Aires surrounded by love and good food. Recipes are often the connection between generations. Cocina La Luisa is a family-owned brand that looks to share those favourite Argentine cuisines with a new generation of consumers. The first product Cocina La Luisa is producing is a famous, spicy Argentine sauce called ‘Jimmy Churri’. The perfect accompaniment for grilled meats or a delicious sandwich condiment.
BlackMoon Studio helped bring the Cocina La Luisa to life. Buenos Aires became the inspiration. A city famous for its ‘Fileteado’, a type of artistic drawing and lettering, with stylised lines and flowered, climbing plants. It is used to adorn all kinds of beloved objects: signs, taxis, lorries and even the old buses used in the city. The label symbolises the Argentine flag through the use of colour and the sun/face illustration. BlackMoon Studio added a fun, creative twist using the sun’s face to visually illustrate the level of spice of each of the Jimmy Churri sauces. The Fileteado embellishes the label adding the craft and authenticity to the brand.
