Food Pirate Studio (Photographer) was commissioned by Auge Design (Agency) to shot the visuals for the new Sammontana Gruvi ice-cream packagings. The photographs has been created to work in combination with the bold typography of the packaging, to create an innovative stunning visual for this new product. Food Pirate shot a total of 6 photographic compositions: 3 for the main boxes (Pistacchio, Caramel and Gianduia) – displayng the bitten ice creams and theirs ingredients, plus three compositions for the single product sleeves, displayng the ingredients only. The images have been shot in December 2019 in our Milan studio, while the product hit the market in late spring 2020, becoming immediately a best seller in the italian supermarket. The photograph have been shot by Food Pirate Studio photographers Enrico Caputo & Alessandro Campisi. The retouching has been done in-house as well. The home economist involved in the shot was Francesca Versolatto. On the design agency side (Auge Design, Florence, Italy) the photoshoot has been art directed by Davide Mosconi and Andrea Mastroluca, who designed the branding and design for the ice-cream. The product has been described as soft, creamy, crunchy: in every bite, a revelation of taste: that is why the visual show a bitten, melting ice cream. Put some groove in your gelato!
