Making change possible for mental wellbeing in the workplace
Dysfunctional business teams, poor company culture, and disillusioned team members are some of the reasons for poor company performance, poor mental wellbeing, and high staff turnover. The new brand for Rachel Boothroyd Training and Coaching visually shows that change is possible and identifies the stage of a team’s or individual’s journey to mental wellbeing in the workplace.

Rachel formed a company that takes a more human approach to creating a successful, healthy work environment and bringing a lightness to its training programmes, having travelled all over the world to train in some of the best business coaching methodologies and training techniques available today. One of the principal obstacles in achieving change is identifying the current state of mental wellbeing. But to identify where a team or individual is on this journey, and where they wanted to get to, she needed a brand to visualise their state of mind more immediately and emotionally.

The new brand was created to communicate that ‘change is possible’ in people’s workplace experiences. It was designed to show the journey of change from grey, dull, tight and sharp to colourful, vibrant, fluid and fun. This was especially useful for new clients using the diagrams to explain where their mental state currently was and where they wanted it to be.

This message was reinforced using straplines such as ‘slow becomes flow’, ‘tight becomes bright’, ‘work becomes play’, ‘boring becomes rousing’ across posters and flyers. 

A pre-printed notepad uses one of the changing shapes with a scale to help pinpoint the position the individual feels they are at and opens up discussion. A short ident brings the brand properties to life by showing that your mental state can literally change shape for the better. Other applications include website, promotional tote bags and new business mailer.
