58 AND CO. – An Elevated Brand Experience for an Elevated Drinking Experience

In the most hotly contested of drinks categories, 58 and Co. needed a brand that did more than just talk about ‘Gin’. Looking to reach highly-educated, quality-driven, thoughtful consumers meant a focus on the entire 58 and Co. experience; from the meticulous process and attention to detail in distillation, the exacting provenance of ingredients, the sustainable and ethical B Corp certified approach, right through to the multi-sensory on-site experience at the distillery.

Working with a beautiful bespoke bottle from Allied, we took our inspiration from all of the 58 and Co. touch points. ‘Distilling what matters’ captured the attention to detail at the heart of the elevated drinking experiences they offered, whilst also reflecting the sustainable core of the process. From the textures around the distillery to the colour of the bottle wax, we built a brand world around this brand essence.

A hand drawn juniper leaf illustration, dipped in copper, inspired by the handmade ambillic stills was centre stage on our bottle, with contemporary bespoke typography taking heritage cues to reflect the liquids premium nature.
A comprehensive brand book and style guide informed all physical and digital touchpoints of the brand from launch.

The re-brand hit the alcohol press and supermarket shelves in March 2022 and made an immediate impact. Featured in The Spirits Business and named as one of the alcohol brands to watch in 2022 by Techround, founder, Carmen O’Neal said ‘We’re absolutely delighted to unveil our new brand, which we feel truly represents our values, approach and future direction.

The new brand opens the door for future expansion strategies for 58 and Co. into different spirits categories. We look forward to being part of the journey.
