The Palacini family business is located in the first productive and commercial area of the City of Mendoza, in the heart of Maipú. Its farm was acquired in 1994 and since then, they have been worked for 4 generations, dedicating themselves to the total quality of his products and their elaboration.
The rebrand consisted on create a label with an elegant aesthetic but at the same time give it a modern, fresher touch. Away from the classic style of olive oil. We wanted to give it a retro touch to the labels, contributing with short but strong storytelling behind it.
This olive company counts with centenary olive trees. These are essential when creating a premium product. Premium olive oil is an oil whose origin is green olives, which have not yet matured. Green olives cost more to collect, they are still strongly attached to the tree. As its pulp has not matured, it is tighter and less juice is extracted, so that to make a liter of Premium oil an average of 2 kg more of olives is needed than to make a liter of oil from ripened olives. Is a limited production oil. While the olives are still green, the rest continue their ripening process, so only part of the harvest will be converted into this type of oil. These factors make premium olive oil more expensive.
We based the label strategy on this concept: Centenary.
We created an illustration that alludes to a centenary man with a big olive tree at his side. “Fortunate is who walks paths to transform them into roads” is the quote that accompanies this illustration, alluding to the 4 generations of the Palacini family who have worked those lands.
