Student Conceptual Branding for +Forte

Social design has become an essential tool since it can give voice to those who are not heard. As visual communicators, we have the power to draw attention and fight against social problems. For this final BA Thesis project, the objective was to create something more than just good aesthetic and make design transcend through a social cause.

The negative relationship between harassment and the psychophysiological health of employees in a company has received increasing attention recently. However, the conditions under which these negative impacts can be reduced are unknown. As a solution to this problem, +Forte was born.

+Forte is a social program for young workers or students who have experienced or are experiencing workplace harassment and want professional advice. The social program promotes personal counseling for young people who attend to this problem. Likewise, foster a sense of strength and empowerment through their workshops, courses, and collaborations with other peers. The objective of the program is to educate the target audience with the knowledge and the best tools so that they can defend themselves in the corporate market.

The name +Forte (More forte) was created from the term ‘forte’, defined as the strongest point, characteristic, talent, or most developed ability of a person; something in which one excels. Born under the concept of rebirth, the goal was to create an impactful yet structured and youthful identity system that exudes empowerment and education. Inspired by the colors of the flame and the phoenix, a creature that symbolizes rebirth, the result was the use of colorful gradients that can emanate the fire, as it can symbolize power and passion. The use of two typeface families that evoke structure and strength will serve to convey the project’s message in a strong way.
