Copir is a printing house that has offices in such cities of Ukraine as Kyiv, Zaporozhye and Dnipro. The company has been operating since 2002 and has completed thousands of orders. It has a high level of trust among their regular customers. The equipment of the printing house allows to embody the most daring ideas of the customers, whether it is large-format printing, operational printing, printing for business, packaging, advertising on vehicles or calendars.
The biggest competitors on the printing services market in Kyiv are Print24 and Wolf. The Print24 company appeared recently, but managed to gain the trust of customers due to its seriousness, quality and expertise. Wolf is an experienced market player, but their visual system was outdated. We were aimed at a younger and more creative audience, and wanted to evoke positive emotions through visual identity. Therefore, it was not too difficult to stand out among the main players in the market.
Our task was to develop a visual identity for Copir printing house, which is located in Kyiv, Ukraine. We decided to build their image on the basis of the Creator archetype: his emotionality, variability. We needed to create a positive impression among printing clients. Also, the task was to detach from the main competitor in the market, whose image is based on expertise and seriousness. This company has chosen a black and white color scheme to enhance its image. Therefore, colour has become a powerful tool with cool capabilities for Copir.
We tried to characterize the essence of the printing industry in one word. «Transformation» has become that word. Transformation of ideas from the digital world to the material one. Something you can touch, feel. Something can be declared to the world. Printing helps clients to realize their ideas. After all, the idea is only 50% of the case. Ideas become reality.
They are transformed into material, like a sculpture, which is the result of cutting a piece of stone. We showed transformation through the hexagon, which under the influence of trimming excess parts is transformed into a circle. As well as trimming bleeds after printing.
We have developed a corporate pattern that is revealed in the following deliverables: a signboard, a reception, clothes for printing house workers, packaging, social networks, and office supplies.
