Disruptive Brand Agency Create Brand and Label Design for Giallonero Wines in Argentina

Giallonero Wines is Finca Benteveo’s first boutique wine brand. Located in the Uco Valley region (Mendoza Province, Argentina), recognised for the quality of its terroir and its unique wines.

This young company of the Tejada family entrusted us with the creation of the brand identity and the labeling and packaging system of its line of boutique wines. Oriented not only to exports but to a wine market such as Argentina, a saturated market, with a high-quality offer, not only for its wines but also for its design, communication, the product in general, that is, for a comprehensive experience.

The analysis carried out on the existing stylistic typologies led us to a strategic decision to position ourselves in what we define internally as a “classic modernity” in search of a timeless brand spirit, which in turn would convey the quality of a signature wine from a boutique winery.
As it is a new winery, lacking in knowledge or remembrance, we work on distinctive elements that could be systematized, seeking differentiation and a “sophisticated impact”.

In this way, a brand identity is created at the service of the strategic objectives of the label, the main vehicle of commercial and emotional communication of the brand. Fonts, colors, and surface finishes were selected to maintain a balance between modernity, tradition, and exclusivity.

The most distinctive element of the Giallonero brand is its illustration system, designed to complement the logo and the rest of the elements in the task of creating a unique and consistent identity, with recognizable and memorable characteristics.

Giallonero is the Italian name for the Benteveo, a native bird with its characteristic combination of black and yellow feathers, yellow breast, and black mask and wings.

The result of this project was a label with the quality of the wine it contains, and with the ability to create a strong emotional bond with the consumer, due to its sensitive features reflected in the illustration of the bird that we have all heard sing sometime in our childhood.
