Branding Consultancy Presents New Packaging Design for Traditional German Beer

Branding Consultancy Presents New Packaging Design for Traditional German Beer

DDH Branding Consultancy –  Schlitz

Schlitz beer tradition dates back to 19th century and a family brewery in the city of Schlitz in Bavaria, Germany. In 1856, Joseph Schlitz, one of the sons, immigrated to the USA, took over management of a brewery in Milwaukee, started producing “the beer that made Milwaukee famous” and built a world’s top-selling company. At the same time, the Schlitz family kept on brewing the original Schlitz in Germany. Schlitz is a living legend of beers, a refreshing icon for those who appreciate heritage and premium craftsmanship. The company has reviewed its strategy and has set new goals for the brand for the near future. The brand presentation also had to be renewed in order to fit the adjusted positioning and meet the requirements of an international brand. DDH Branding Consultancy was asked to rejuvenate the brand presentation, make it more contemporary and make translation to the can format. The brand presentation should also communicate German brewing heritage and quality and international character of the brand. The logo, the brand symbol, shape, colors and brand hierarchy were studied in detail and adjusted with care, making sure that the main brand values remain intact and remain the character. The redesign is a new milestone in the brand’s development, continuing the 170 years history of the brand, that is ready for new beginnings and accomplishments.”
