Boldly Creates Distinctive Brand and Packaging Design for Bayab Gin

Introducing Bayab gin, the newest family member of South Africa based, Spearhead Spirits. London based design agency, Boldly (www.boldly.co.uk), worked with Spearhead Spirits to name, brand and package this exciting new product. The name Bayab is inspired by a key ingredient – the fruit of the Baobab tree. Being a palindrome, the name reads the same backwards and forwards – reflecting the way the iconic baobab tree is a mirror image of itself with branches that look like roots. The ‘Y’ at the heart of the logo is intentionally asymmetric, representative of the bloated and bulbous baobab trunk and the African inspired patterns are a subtle nod to the gin’s provenance.
