“Packaging design for the TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats) Foundation’s project to support local beekeepers in producing quality organic honey. After detailed research on positive impacts of honey, I decided that using the concept health would be the appropriate way to go. As the best visual concept to complement my carefully constructed concept I chose medical materials such as instruments used in a laboratory. Whilst designing this project I tried to incorporate the strong contrast between ancient healing methods with modern instruments also by showing that these two notions are not so different. To emphasise the effects of honey that is similarly provided to medicine I used test tubes. Just as the commonalities that nature has appearing to have been created in a laboratory. Taking reference from the labeled materials used in a laboratory and the importance of said materials, information such as where the honey is produced is incorporated in the design in a minimalistic and direct matter.”
