HIV is an unsolved global problem. “Vstrecha” is a project aimed at curbing the HIV epidemic among men who have sex with other men and transgender people. The project needed to update its identity to be closer and more understandable for its target audience.
The key elements in the new logo are: 1. The red ribbon is the HIV symbol retained from the old logo and rethought in fresh graphics; 2. Name of the organization – updated the lettering that was in the badge earlier; 3. Exclamation point – as a reminder of the importance of the HIV problem in the world. It was decided to abandon the rest of the elements so as not to burden the sign with meanings and symbols.
Soft red was chosen for the main color – as a direct reference to the original hiv solidarity ribbon. To support the main logo and more practical use in small sizes, we developed a stylish abbreviated version of the logo that will be used as a brand symbol on various layouts. This minimalist version features a ribbon and an exclamation mark taken from the main logo and aligned into a harmonious toggle symbol. This simple sign reminds that HIV is an important issue, and the light graphics inspire hope.
For the development of the project, the design of social networks with an abundance of illustrations and photographs was proposed to maintain a dialogue with the audience.
In order to present your events more effectively, poster templates for different occasions were developed. The project distributes free condoms and lubricants – a poster has been made to inform young people that adapts to any social media layout. Various posters, social media posts and banners have also been developed to remind the importance of HIV testing. For the design of the merch, illustrations with erotic humorous hints are used – for a quicker and easier immersion of young people into a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
