Visual Identity for Online Retail Pioneers IOIO by Brandon

IOIO is a new retail and online store for home appliances and technology items with the goal of offering a better access to products and services with more benefits for the consumers while providing a sense of efficiency across all its channels. It arrives at a time where digital experiences became a necessity for younger generations of buyers.

The retail market in Paraguay is experiencing a transitional moment where buyers are looking for digital solutions to avoid physical stores, a habit that rapidly grew because of the pandemic, yet online transactions are not a common practice and therefore not so trusted. IOIO wants to offer that alternative to the more conservative business model of their competitors which are not yet fully prepared for online commerce while offering a safe environment built on trust from the partners who bring years of experience on retail.

The main goal of the project was to achieve a visual solution for a completely new brand with a equally innovative business model where accessibility and simplicity are the foundations for all decisions to be made. From our first briefing meeting became clear that we had to develop a language that brings the spirit of a young team of people looking to bring a first-class digital experience at a much accesible level, with multiple options and benefits to fit all needs.

Brandon’s resulting identity is based on IOIO’s values of accessibility and ease of use, with a “friendly approach” to make online commerce easier and trustworthy. The wordmark was modified and optimized for small applications and enclosed in a stylized box which also serves as a visual element in combination with a color palette of vibrant colors to give a clean and modern yet vivid look to a brand that appeals at digital natives. The graphic system lives in multiple applications from the web to every physical point of contact with the public, creating a cohesive look and feel which starts at a screen and ends at the front of the door.
