Hang is a social event platform designed to connect people with shared interests, providing a space where individuals can meet and hang out in person. In an era where digital interactions often strain human connections, Hang strives to bridge the gap by offering a platform for real-world meetups. Hang brings together people who share interests, allowing them to build a supportive network and create lasting memories through shared experiences.

Hang goes beyond simply connecting people. Its focus is on community building—a supportive network of like-minded individuals who share interests. Whether you’re passionate about a specific hobby, movie genre, or topic, Hang enables you to discover and engage in events that foster joy and connection. Catering to a diverse audience, including lonely people, passionate cinephiles, recent immigrants seeking cultural ties, or elders seeking new adventures, Hang offers a welcoming space for everyone to find their tribe through shared activities and events.

One central question guided our approach: How do we leverage community and brand building through design and storytelling? Hang needed to embody inclusivity, diversity, and a community focus, serving as a safe space for physical reconnection and the rediscovery of companionship and humanity. The platform’s fluid nature allows communities to define their existence and connections. This philosophy deeply influenced Hang’s visual identity, with a fluid and dynamic logo setting the tone for its conversations and overall visual direction. The 15-colour palette was chosen to reinforce these ideas, with no single primary colour, reflecting Hang’s values. Illustrations and visual devices in various shapes further emphasise the platform’s mission of inclusivity and diversity.
