We at Embacy created a brand identity and website for Visions DAO.
When we started working on this project, Visions DAO was just entering the market. It positioned itself as a decentralized and open-sourced infrastructure provider bringing business stimulation games on-chain. With circular economic models and gamified divided pools, developers can gamify the entire ecosystem.
It aimed to bring the resilience of token engineering into gaming, opening up a whole new paradigm by unlocking redistributive social tycoons on-chain.
The brand can be described as dynamic and progressive, but at the same time with a touch of nagging nostalgia.
We used perspective as the main graphical element of the style. It enhances the sense of movement, action, and progress. To create a tactile effect, we use a noise texture. This element is a way to evoke nostalgic memories of 2000s games. And it helps to enhance the perception of pixelation. Among the other graphic elements, there are callouts and flying blocks, pixel patterns, tickers, flying pixels and small ones and zeros.
Maybe, the most memorable part of the project is the illustrations. The pixel diamond consists of numerous cubes that are interconnected. Pictures are minimalistic. They are created using 2-4 colors, so there is no visual noise.
For the illustration, we also used grid shapes, which are mirror versions of pixel shapes. This effect helps to describe the creation process. It can be filled with a color gradually to show the difference Visions DAO creates compared to Web 2.0 games.
The photo style is represented by pixelized photos that include two colors only: the background and the contrasting one.
