Van Zellers &Co. Port Wine Design by RitaRivotti

Time helps to mellow down the strength of tannins, the muscle and structure of the wine, the fresh fruit, flower and earthy aromas that a young wine holds. Time adds a touch of surprise, with unexpected tastes and aromas that appear. Van Zellers & Co celebrate the magic of time with a selection of Old Tawny Colheita Ports.

It was produced in 1968 by Van Zellers & Co, and was stored in traditional wooden casks to this day.

There is great wisdom and conviction behind the decision to wait more than 50 years to obtain a Very Old Tawny Port. The Cellar Master knows that the relentless flow of time transforms life and matter.

We designed an hourglass to cradle this wine; the structure is made of quality wood and we selected a dome-shaped glass bottle.

By symbolising the continuous passage of time, the hourglass glorifies this wonderful ageing process that underlies all great Port Wines.
