A dream that started in Nigeria. The creation of a tequila that will combine both cultures in a single bottle. This is how Salamanca arose. Salamanca tells the story of a tequila that emerges from a cave found on a hill, hidden in the hills of Nigeria with a spirit drink worthy of sharing with different cultures.
The shape of the container arises from the abstraction of one of the rocks found in the hidden caverns, in Salamancas, an interpretation of the integral concept made into a bottle.
We designed a bottle that creates a space to show the history of the brand, one of its facets shows an illustration that represents the hidden cave and the glow of the agave from the hills of the highlands of Jalisco, which can vary depending on the type of tequila that is packaged.
Mexican tequila exports maintain a favorable performance, since between January and May they increased 8.8% in terms of volume compared to the same period in 2015.
In a statement, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (Sagarpa) specified that these sales bring benefits to 17,000 producers in the country, 80% of whom have less than five hectares.
Based on preliminary data from the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), Sagarpa specified that in the first five months of the year the volume of international sales of this product went from 77.8 million liters to 84.6 million.
Among the markets with the highest growth rate of its demand are Germany -which is already the second main consumer of this drink- with an increase of 221.9%; Australia, 128.%; Austria, 216%; Ecuador, 121.4%; Finland, 100%; Singapore, 334.9%; Panama, 102.5% and Malaysia, 130.5%.
New clients in the world.

In the same period, tequila was exported to 87 international destinations, including countries other than those mentioned, such as Latvia, Italy, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and China.
However, this year nine new destinations for Mexican tequila have been included and they are Aruba, Bangladesh, Barbados, Iraq, Jamaica, Malta, Mauritius, Nigeria and Seychelles.

The above in an area planted with 300 million agave pineapples, in the circuit of certified areas with the denomination of origin, which covers various municipalities in the states of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas.
Currently, there are 160 tequila companies and 17,000 agave farmers, which constitutes a source of income for 70,000 families, in addition to being an industry that generates 2.6 billion pesos (mdp) annually, Sagarpa pointed out.
