With ‘Hikari’ meaning ‘light’ in Japanese, Sushi Hikari embodies this philosophy by staying true to its cultural roots and emphasizing traditional sushi recipes from their authentic origins. Initially launched as a modest takeaway service, Sushi Hikari remains dedicated to meticulously crafting each sushi roll with only the finest, freshest ingredients, prioritizing premium-quality fish above all else. Each sushi creation features no more than three toppings, ensuring a carefully balanced harmony of flavors that authentically reflects its Japanese heritage.
Targeting individuals with a refined palate who seek the genuine taste of traditional sushi, Sushi Hikari distinguishes itself by staying true to its values while operating outside the mainstream spotlight. The comprehensive branding project aimed not only to establish but also to enrich a distinctive brand identity for Sushi Hikari, envisioning its future growth through thoughtful and compelling visual elements.
In my role as the designer overseeing this transformative branding initiative, I meticulously curated the visual identity by selecting colors, typography, and guiding the artistic direction. Key contributions included crafting the logo, designing the bespoke takeaway packaging, and conceptualizing impactful billboard advertisements. Throughout the creative journey, every design choice was carefully considered to resonate with the restaurant’s traditional tone yet contemporary appeal, ensuring a cohesive and memorable brand identity.
