Sun Unveils the Payroll Centre’s Cutting-Edge Tech Brand, Act

Payroll professionals must stay informed, educated, and supported amidst the rapid pace of legislative and technical changes. The Payroll Centre (TPC) is on a mission to assist teams, individuals, and the industry on this transformative journey.

TPC holds a prominent position on HMRC and Government committees, representing numerous members and clients. This influential role enables the organisation to provide invaluable insights that shape the future of the industry.

One of TPC’s standout offerings is the custom-built online ACT platform, an essential part of their tech resource toolkit. This platform utilises a unique payroll competency model, delivering targeted assessments and relevant training to payroll personnel at all experience levels.

After a competitive pitch process, Studio Up North (SUN) was chosen to create a clear brand and product hierarchy. SUN successfully established a concise branded house model, incorporating existing and future technology applications. This laid the foundation for a series of sub-brands unified under the overarching Payroll Centre brand.

SUN’s expertise led to the development of a dynamic brand identity for the ACT platform launch. The identity featured a data-driven ‘cycle of learning’ icon, symbolising the continuous process of knowledge, learning, and development provided by TPC.

The visual language exudes vibrancy and coherence, capturing the essence of an innovative professional services training provider whilst encapsulating their red, amber and green colourways from the platform.

Focussed on the potential of people, The Payroll Centre is driven by a commitment to support payrollers in their growth, whilst assisting businesses in training and retaining their valued team members.

This mission, combined with SUN’s dedication to collaborating with organisations that create a positive impact, fuelled the success of this exciting project.
