The “Volando Oltre” Social Cooperative in Cosenza, Italy, is an incubator in which girls and boys with Down syndrome learn to make jams, pickles and baked goods. Some of the boys and girls, at the end of the formation period, are hired by the Cooperative’s pastry shop and they start working on real line productions.
They sell the jams, the pickles and the baked goods they learned to produce, and they also sell a line of friable shortbread biscuits, produced with totally handcrafted processing and high quality raw materials. Without preservatives or dyes. Without hydrogenated fats.

Studio La Regina took care of the restyling of the packaging of the BuoniBuoni shortbread line, choosing a cheerful and colorful tone of voice for these biscuits. The design is based mainly on an illustration of classical jars with a cloth cap, in different color for each taste: green and purple for classic shortbread with butter, yellow and green for shortbread with walnuts, magenta and light blue for shortbread with hazelnuts, orange and blue for shortbread with chocolate drops.
The illustrations are enriched with handwritten labels, as if they were homemade biscuits. The entire package is made of recyclable cardboard and the pack window shows in a fun way the product inside, all to raise its qualitative perception.
On the back side there is a brief description of the Social Cooperative and of its girls’ and boys’ stories, their lives marked by the secret ingredient revealed by their slogan: high in happiness.
