Ornamika is an experimental modular display typeface consisting of 6 modules (or 3, if rotation is not taken into account). It turns into patterns and can be used in headings. Use Ornamika for your endless flow of patterns and experimental forms of design.
Ornamika is based on geometric shapes, therefore it has straight square shapes, but due to the segments of the circle it takes on unusual shapes, such as the characters “o” or “y”.
The maximum height and width of characters is 6 modules. In cyrillic lowercase has descenders, and in latin it has ascenders and descenders too. Proportions of uppercase are more elongated than lowercase thus typeface looks like condensed. Font usage options expand when using different font case combinations
Characters of typeface can be devided in 3 groups of constructing according to used modules in it. The first group uses 5 modules and contains characters with bowl. The second group uses 2 modules. It also contains characters with bowl but it has a different character. The third group uses one square module. These characters look like pixel, but thanks to letters from other groups, the font does not look like a technological one.
Ornamika provided in cyrillic and latin. With a complete set of characters, it allows the user to create a variety of unexpected moments. Overall set of characters contains 164 pieces: 52 of latin, 66 of cyrillic, 35 of sybmols and 10 of numbers.
For this project was created lettering ORNAMIKA with changed letter O that is used in posters
