The World Brand Design Society is a professional institution that benchmarks, advocates and awards educations institutions, educators and students in the fields of corporate and consumer brand design.

World Brand Design Society Student Awards 

The World Brand Design Society Student Awards is an international design competition for professionals, education institutions, young creatives and students. The World Brand Design Society Awards is an independent and prestigious awards scheme that is established to recognises the significance, celebrates the excellence and promotes the best design education institutions, the best educators and design student from around the world. We want to highlight the world’s best up and coming future design talents

The annual awards programme welcomes entries of student design works in five areas as follows: 

– Brand Strategy
– Brand Creation
– Rebranding
– Brand Refinement
– Brand Communication

These areas are purposefully left broad and open to accommodate conceptually diverse projects, solutions and entries from an array of design thinkers, disciplines and fields.  These areas provide two main categories for entry: Corporate Brand Design (Service) and Consumer Brand Design (Product) and focuses on the following deliverables:

 

CORPORATE BRAND DESIGN (SERVICES)

Corporate Brand Identity – A category that includes corporate brand identities: marks, monograms, logos, crests, emblems or identity systems. From individual brand identities elements to large scale integrated brand identity systems, the application and implementation of them across multiple brand touch-points.

Print Communication – A category that includes a broad range of all print design-related deliverables. From editorial, posters, annual reports, brochures, direct mail, design manuals and other promotional printed brand touch-points.

Interactive Digital – A category that includes a broad range of digital deliverables, including interaction design and user experiences. From websites, apps, digital installations, augmented virtual reality and interactive spaces/environments. 

Moving Image, Film and TV – A category that includes TV identities, screen graphics and deliverables relating to promotional moving images. Including all on-screen social media, media streaming film and TV.

Environment and Spatial Design – A category that includes the design of temporary and permanent environments. From installations, trade shows/stands, cultural exhibitions, visitor attractions, galleries and museums. This category also includes print, digital signage and other graphics for commercial environments.

Brand Campaign – A category that includes the utilisation of other categories, assets and touch-points. With the object to create a promotional brand campaign to build brand awareness.

 


CONSUMER BRAND DESIGN (PRODUCT)

Consumer Brand Identity – A category that includes consumer brand identities: marks, monograms, logos, crests, emblems or identity systems. From individual brand identities elements to large scale integrated brand identity systems, applications and implementation across multiple brand touch-points.

Graphic Packaging Design – A category that includes all graphic consumer packaging design. From branded and own-brand individual products to product ranges. Successful graphic design integration with existing structural packaging design or newly designed structural packaging is essential.

Structural Packaging Design – A category that includes structural brand packaging design, product-packaging innovation and sustainable packaging solutions for own-brand and branded product/s. This category also includes the structural design for point of purchase, point of sale and consumer branded promotional support products.

Retail and Environment Design – A category that includes temporary or permanent commercial spatial/environments. From retail interiors, pop-up stores, chain stores, department stores. This category also includes designs of retailing installations, trade shows/stands, cultural exhibitions, visitor attractions, galleries and museums.

Brand Campaigns – A category that includes the utilisation of other categories, assets and touch-points. With the object to create a promotional product brand campaign to build brand awareness.
