Student Alisa Davydova Creates Brand Identity for a Network of Intertemporal Telephone Booths “Gudok”

“Gudok” is a network of phone booths for intertemporal communication.

The goal of the project was to create a universal and understandable identity that reflects the brightness and technological nature of the company. Time travel requires a certain seriousness but also implies the ability to adapt to the trends of different eras.

A key element of the identity became the square, which transforms in the brand style, demonstrating its diversity and multifaceted nature. The multitude of “cells” of various colors and sizes symbolizes the distortion of information in space. During a phone call, the information breaks down into numerous cells, travels through ages and centuries, and then reassembles into a coherent picture. This concept suggests high variability and adaptability in design.

Points or “pointers” became an interesting addition to the project, marking time points on the timeline and indicating where the interlocutor is located in time.

The brand’s colors are bright and striking, reflecting a modern and technological approach. The black-and-white gradient with a noise texture adds uniqueness and symbolizes the noise and fluctuations during a phone conversation. Thus, I aimed to convey the roughness of time and the instability of telephone communication.

“Gudok” is a network of phone booths that erases the boundaries of time and space: pay for minutes — receive an entire eternity. You can call any point on the timeline: past, future, or present. There is neither beginning nor end here — only a moment of sincere communication. Between you and eternity is just one call!
