The project is dedicated to the ideas of Ray Kurzweil, a futurist and technologist renowned for accurately forecasting the emergence of artificial general intelligence (AGI) by around 2029 and the broader technological singularity by 2045. Kurzweil predicts that by 2045 we will have merged with our machines—via nanobots, brain‑computer interfaces, and exponential computing power—resulting in an intelligence explosion where non‑biological intelligence becomes a million times more powerful than the combined human intelligence on Earth. The main goal of this creative project is to visualize that defining moment: a point when technological development becomes irreversible, uncontrollable, and beyond human comprehension.

The project takes the form of an interactive exhibition designed as a timeline that traces the evolution of technology from the present day to the year 2045. It showcases key historical inventions, innovations currently in development, and speculative predictions about the future of human–machine integration. Alongside the exhibition, the project includes a distinct visual identity rooted in its conceptual themes.

The key visual solution is a custom fractal typeface, algorithmically generated using a Processing script. The recursive, self‑similar structure of the font is designed to evoke Kurzweil’s “law of accelerating returns”—the idea that technological evolution follows an exponential trajectory, with each generation of technology building upon and accelerating the previous one. The fractal typographic aesthetic echoes the concept of a singularity as both infinitely complex and infinitely scalable. Each glyph replicates a smaller version of itself, visually implying endless recursive growth—a metaphor for how AGI could begin redesigning and rewriting its own intelligence in recursive loops.
