Strategy and Visual Identity for Condimenta by Melt Design

Context
Condimenta is a small consultancy specialized in food safety management and strategic support for bars, restaurants, and food service operations. The project included brand strategy, the creation of a new name, and visual identity. The challenge was to translate technical expertise and close relationships with clients and nutritionists into a brand that conveys trust, supports business model expansion, and enhances perceived value.

Development
Condimenta derives from the word condiment, which in culinary terms refers to a substance (herb, vegetable, spice, salt, pepper, etc.) added to food to enhance its flavor, aroma, or taste, essentially a seasoning. For the business, Condimenta symbolizes the “extra something,” the decisive factor for the success of food service companies.
As an identity, the brand takes the form of a pepper shaker, emphasizing the concept behind the name. Phrases from the strategy phase come to life through illustrations and collages in a playful, approachable, and direct manner. Examples include “The touch your business was missing”, “A pinch of efficiency”, “Having specialists is what eases the pressure”, “Lower the heat, boost your management.”
We structured a strong brand capable of attracting nutritionists to the affiliation model while also communicating the benefits of partnering with a specialized consultancy to restaurant owners. The brand needed to educate the market, convey trust, and highlight competitive advantages over superficial existing solutions. Beyond consolidating the new value proposition, the goal was to create an identity that was serious and technical yet modern and approachable, connecting with a young and discerning audience.
The company doubled its revenue within five months of implementing the full project and received feedback such as “After receiving the proposal and engaging more with the brand, I understood how serious the work you do really is.” Condimenta differentiates itself by giving visibility to the nutrition profession, valuing technical processes, and at the same time connecting with the reality of bar and restaurant owners. The result is a consistent brand that represents both the seriousness required in food safety and the clarity and lightness needed to educate and win over clients.
