Starcafé Coffee cup Packaging – Architectural Culture in Vietnam.

The Challenge
Our client – A joint venture between the business and Autogrill, the top provider of food and retail services to visitors worldwide, houses the coffee brand Starcafé under the umbrella of Autogrill VFS F&B Co., Ltd. Vietnam Food and Beverage Service. The mission of Autogrill VFS F&B is to give visitors “Satisfaction on every journey” by offering top-notch customer service, a variety of high-quality regional foods and beverages, and global brands, reputation at Vietnam’s five main international airports.

To design ripple paper cups for coffee and other items for the Starcafé brand of Vietnamese coffee at airports, we were thrilled to work with Autogrill VFS F&B.

The Solution
The brief from the client called for the creation of clean ripple paper cups that offered contemporary and traditional, minimalistic iconography based on Vietnamese tourist destinations that would be simple to recognize by any foreign customer but had enough charm and personality to ripple paper cups.

One Pillar Pagoda, Turtle Tower, Trong Mai (Ga Choi) Islet, Imperial City of Huế, Bà Nà Hills, Dragon Bridge (Da Nang), Landmark 81, Bitexco Financial Tower and Bến Thành Market are just a few of the attractions in Vietnam. We chose a style that attempted to bridge the gap between contemporary iconography, vector drawings with fat strokes and round edges, and classic illustrations. The world of coffee is full of aromas, flavor and design. Our goal was to turn one of these many stories into a delicate visual and sound experience.
