Space Plump by Arieto Studio is a refillable lipstick with an inflated aluminium casing inspired by aerospace design.
The project explores a simple question: what would happen if a lipstick borrowed its codes from aerospace engineering rather than traditional luxury?
The sculptural aluminium casing features an inflated silhouette inspired by pressurised space equipment. At the same time, it quietly echoes the product’s own promise: a plumping effect. The form reflects the function.
The polished aluminium reinforces the technological cue, but it also mirrors its surroundings, almost like a small object drifting in orbit.
Beyond its visual impact, Space Plump is designed for use. A hexagonal section ensures stable grip and precise handling, preventing the object from rolling and improving comfort during application.
Space Plump is fully refillable, extending the product lifecycle and reducing waste. A dedicated protective carrying case shields the lipstick from external damage, reinforcing its portable, mission-ready identity.
The graphic identity embraces chic retro-futurism, drawing from mid-century science fiction and Japanese pop culture while infusing the refinement of French high-end cosmetics. Bold chrome meets restrained typography and precise layouts, creating a cohesive futuristic identity.
Beauty and aerospace may seem unrelated, yet both rely on material research, engineering and trust in performance. Space Plump translates those shared values into a compact object designed for everyday use, yet imagined with zero gravity in mind.
