“Smell Out” is a wardrobe aromatic accessory, made for techno geeks and gaming fans.
Aromatic sticker efficiently destroys negatives scents in clothing keeping areas, making them smell like most delicious and efficient healing items in game world.
Due to the target audience, sticker has a gameboy console cartridge shape, packaged in PSP inspired box, making package stand out from competitors on the shelf and on e-commerce platforms and e-marketplaces.
Package is made out of Plastic, Combined with Glossy Paper. Sticker itself is made from semi-transparent perforated plastic with the sticky layer of the back. Usability of this accessory is pretty simple. Customer need to remove protector from the sticky layer and then place the sticker on the flat surface (wall, shelf) inside the wardrobe. Average lifetime of one sticker in around 12 weeks. Stickers aren’t refeelable, every time you have remove the old sticker and place a new one to renew the scent and the “healing” effect inside clothing storage space.
Key Visual element of the package is a shirt, surrounded with levitating health icons, symbolizing the healing process, similar to games, when characters of mobs use game items to increase health points. Pixelated typography makes logotype easily associated with games.
Product flavours are inspired by the most famous healing items, such as “healing salve” from Data 2, or “Cherry” from Pacman.
This project was made as part of “Art Direction” Master’s programme at HSE Art & Design School.
